A rein trace from a chariot
|
An exhibition about the
Millennium Project has been open in Carlisle Castle since
July 2002. Some of the amazing finds from the excavation have
been on display, including metalwork, coins, leather, wood
and pottery, along with some of the equipment used during
the dig!
This exhibition will be relaunched in April to include some
spectacular new finds that have been newly conserved, such
as the rein trace from a chariot, a roman soldier's wooden
comb, decorations from cavalry uniform and a large key that
could be from the fort strong box!
